Community Projects

Everything we do is rooted in the place we call home.

The landscapes you travel through and the people you meet are all part of a wider community. Supporting that community is not a separate initiative for us, it is built into how we operate, every single day.

A portion of every safari is reinvested directly into local projects. These focus on the areas that have the greatest long-term impact: education, access to safe water, environmental conservation, and practical skills that create income and independence.

How Your Journey Contributes

When you travel with us, your journey has a direct and lasting impact.

Every safari helps fund community projects — from building and supporting schools, to improving access to clean drinking water, to creating opportunities through skills and small businesses.

Where possible, guests have the opportunity to briefly visit some of these projects. It might be a short stop at a local school, time spent seeing a water initiative in action, or simply passing through and understanding the role these projects play in everyday life. There is no expectation — just the chance to see the impact for yourself.

On every journey, guests also leave something behind. A tree is planted as part of our conservation work — a small but meaningful contribution to restoring and protecting the environment for the future.

These are simple actions, but over time they add up to something significant.

Current Projects

Education & Community Schools

We support children through scholarships and contribute to the development of community school buildings — creating safe, consistent spaces for learning and helping more children stay in education.

Safe Drinking Water

Clean water is fundamental. Our projects improve access within local communities, supporting better health and easing the daily burden of water collection.

Environmental Conservation

We actively support conservation efforts that protect the landscapes and ecosystems that make this region so unique, ensuring they are preserved for future generations.

Tailoring & Pedal Sewing

By providing training and equipment, including pedal-powered sewing machines, we help create sustainable income opportunities — even in areas without reliable electricity.

Reusable Sanitary Pads & Girls’ Education

We support initiatives that provide reusable sanitary products and education, helping girls remain in school and continue their education with confidence.

Looking Ahead

Our projects continue to evolve as needs change and opportunities emerge.

Future plans include expanding community education, supporting women through initiatives such as basket weaving, improving agricultural resilience with better seeds and inputs, building homes for families in need, and increasing access to light through small-scale solar solutions.

Each project is shaped by the community itself, with a focus on what will make the most meaningful and lasting difference.

A Quiet, Lasting Impact

We don’t see this as an add-on, and we don’t overstate it.

It’s simply part of doing things properly.

Travel should leave a place better than it found it — not through grand gestures, but through consistent, thoughtful contribution over time.

That’s what we are building.

And every journey plays a part in it.
